I made the most of my wedding-free weekend. Instead of shooting a wedding on Saturday, I was able to partake in a riverboat party and danced the night away. I appreciate my free Saturdays so much more now and when I can go to a wedding or other event just for fun. Sunday was my favorite day though because I was reunited with one of my best friends, Courtney and Ben who are in town for the week from Chicago.
This is what I wore last week to work. I purchased the dress a little less than a year ago when I went outlet mall shopping with my grandparents. I like the feminine details in the sleeve, but for this particular wear, I added these Jeffrey Campbell boots with a patterned pair of tights to make it look like I could still kick some ass.

Last week I reprised my role as the unofficial fashion correspondent on Lansing Next, a internet radio show to speak about fall fashion trends. I love that I get to practice public speaking through these sorts of opportunities. Thank goodness for this blog! I struggle with it, but I feel less pressure when I'm representing myself rather than a company or organization. Eventually, I'll be as amazing as my boss is at it. Well, probably not. The innate skill of always knowing what to say just isn't in me. I think eventually it won't be as uncomfortable for me though.
The other guests on the show included Nathan, who spoke about start up companies and Heidi spoke about the Capital Area District Library. Both are stylish and I snapped a few photos of them outside of the studio.

While I sat outside of the studio before it was my turn to go on, I creepily took photos of dan through this window. He was a good sport and humored me with a smile.
