Red + Blue

I hung out with the lovely ladies, Amy of Chicago Streetstyle and Anna of See Jane last Thursday to grab tapas from Cafe Ba Ba Reeba. I was nervous of a restaurant with a menu containing items I wasn't all that familiar with. I'm what you'd consider a non-foodie. Feed me a slice of processed cheese, a boiled hot dog or a piece of burnt toast and I'm good to go. I did like my food and Amy fed me her garlic bread, bless her heart. Thanks for showing me a new place, girls!
I've been wearing these blue pants a lot for one reason: they are extremely stretchy. When it's so hot, an easy pair of pants that glide right on make me happy. I added a little more color with the red tank and striped cropped jacket. I've been inching out of my comfort zone of all black and I have to say I really liked wearing all these bold colors! Anyone else trying to leave their clothing comfort zone? What new things are you either trying to wear or leave behind?

'S Awful Nice! 'S Paradise!

Happy Saturday guys! I'm so exhausted from this week. Beyond tired! It was a successful trip, though! Now I just need to sleep for about 72 hours and I'll be back to myself.

There's something about a simple vintage dress that gets me every time. I got two of these dresses and I wish I could find out what they were made for. They're from Universal Studios and there were about 10 of them and each has a girl's name written inside. So interesting! The bow belt just sealed the deal for me. ♥

♥ PALM TREES FOR DAY AND DAYS. Sigh!

Olive & Orange AW11

1

While we're talking about Orla Kiely we may as well talk about their diffusion line, Olive & Orange. I just spent the last half hour ogling every since piece in their fall collection. As much as I love the Orla line, I think I might lean towards this one if I had to pick just one. Maybe it's the socks with oxfords combo that's stealing my heart? I think I might have to make my mission to get my hands on that camel coat. The only problem is I'm not sure who carries this stuff online. Any suggestions?

Orla Kiely AW11 Video

Orla Kiely Short Film from Dolce Films on Vimeo.

Continuing the the never ending stream of Fall/Winter collections that are making the rounds is Orla Kiely. It's no surprise that I'd include it here since I love it every single season. This fall's homage to 60s mod is retro perfection. I love how this collection always manages to walk the line between modern and vintage and never comes out looking like a costume. If you have a moment to watch the quirky-creepy video, I highly recommend it. It's always nice to see the clothes in action and not just in a still shot. Here are some of my favorite looks...
